Founded in August of 2007, Spellbound has played dozens of shows to much acclaim and growing notoriety. We are 3 very skilled musicians (bass/drums/guitar) and we've got a ton of songs at the ready. We give a tight and accurate rendition, with enough live flair and interpretation to make our shows very special and worthwhile. We’ve played with, and have contacts to, many other tribute bands, such as: The Reptile House (The Sisters of Mercy), The Ghost of Curtis & Dead Souls (Joy Division), Japanese Baby (The Cure), This Charming Band (The Smiths/Morrissey), Madam and the Ants, and many others. We’ve headlined at The DNA Lounge, The Rockit Room, The Blue Lagoon, Johnny V's Live Music, The Blank Club, The Uptown Nightclub, The Red Devil Lounge, The Knockout, The Edinburgh Castle Pub, and more.

You do not need to have experience, but you must be able to do the look, and especially the voice

We practice once a week (or as much as needed) at our own studio in SF, and we usually book shows about once a month (we all have day jobs), but there are occasional spurts of more gigs..

We are a low stress, all fun, no drama band. We just want to enjoy ourselves and give people a good show. Although we are not making this a career, we do treat it very seriously, so if you lack the ability to consistently show up on time, practice, improve and put on a good performance, please don't waste your time, or ours.

SPELLBOUND was formed by friends who all have a love of music, and play both professionally and just for fun.

The idea of a Siouxsie And The Banshees tribute band was born during a collaboration with Orlando (from This Charming Band) on a Morrissey/Smiths tribute album.

Orlando quickly enlisted the talents of Buz and Aleph (the former rhythm section from Chrome) who both jumped at the chance. The members of this band have been inspired throughout the years both by the originality and uniqueness of the songs of SATB, and as SPELLBOUND they strive to re-create both an accurate and exciting live portrayal of those songs throughout the twist and turns of The Banshees myriad musical phases.

SPELLBOUND faithfully (and energetically) perform many of SATB's 30+ chart hits (and some of their should-have-been hits) from the albums: The Scream, Kaleidoscope, Once Upon a Time: The Singles, Juju, A Kiss in the Dreamhouse, Nocturne, The Thorn, Tinderbox, Peepshow, Twice Upon a Time: The Singles, and Downside Up.
